POSITION PURPOSE:

Our Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, collaborating, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the entire organization across lines of business and brands in order to attract potential customers and retain and profitably grow existing customers and build brand awareness in our communities and current and new markets. This leader must be a great business leader as well as a great marketing leader.

As the Director of Marketing, your primary responsibilities include collaborating with department leaders, designing campaigns, and leading your team to execute on tactical objectives. This includes tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns, social media presence, support business objectives, lead acquisition, foster customer retention, execute business development, provide sales support, and advance brand building. You will be a part of managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity.

You will play a critical role in aligning creative direction, creating strong brand recognition, and cost-effective lead generation to support the company’s strategic goals. Ultimately, you will help us build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of marketing channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees all marketing campaigns for DFN.
  • Executes plans in alignment with the Company’s strategic direction to profitably grow the business and promote the Company’s business, products, and services.
  • Builds and develops the Company’s internal marketing team members and department.
  • Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable team members according to our business operating principles.
  • Ensures the Company is communicating the right messaging using the best mediums to attract prospective customers and retain and profitably grow existing ones.
  • Represent the marketing team to cross-functional groups including sales, operations, retail, among others.
  • Updates senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns.
  • Develops strategies and tactics to build brand awareness about our company and drive qualified prospective customers to us.
  • Deploys successful marketing campaigns and owns the implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Experiments with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis.
  • Produces valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups.
  • Builds strategic relationships and partners with key industry groups, community groups and vendors.
  • Prepares and monitors the marketing budget on a monthly and annual basis and allocates funds wisely.
  • Oversees and approves all marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies.
  • Measures and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns, gains insight and assess against goals.
  • Analyzes consumer behavior and adjusts marketing campaigns accordingly.
  • Builds marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan.
  • Develops business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics.
  • Evaluates the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on lead flow, conversion, retention and account growth.
  • Proposes and manages marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications.
  • Partners with creative teams, other internal stakeholders, media organizations and external agencies and vendors.
  • Leads the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes.

  • Demonstrated success building complex marketing programs and reporting on the results.
  • Market research and analysis experience.
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects.
  • Excellent understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Experience with digital, social media, loyalty campaigns and direct response marketing.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes direct experience.
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations, finance, business or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing
  • 2 years-experience as a marketing manager
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Net Insight, Omniture, Web Trends)
  • Basic Graphic Design Experience (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Express, Canva)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
